William Pearson

Services for William (Bill) Pearson will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Salem Baptist Church in Bunkie with Rev. John Calbert officiating. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church cemetery under the direction of Progressive Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Williams (Bill) Pearson, 87, died in Rapides Regional Medical Center on Friday, October 24, 2008.

He was a member of the First St. Paul Baptist Church of Bayhills, La. and served as Deacon Board Chairman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sim and Mattie Patterson Pearson, three brothers, two sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ruth McGlory Pearson of Bunkie; two daughters, Janis P. Alfred of Bunkie, Stephanie P. Butler and husband Alvin of Alexandria; one son, Donaldson Juneau of Opelousas; one sister, Betty Jamerson of Bunkie; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until time of services.
