Steven Brian Ducote, 51, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, died at home of a heart attack on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. He was born in Baton Rouge on Sept. 25, 1958, and was a retired employee of Shell Chemical Co., Geismar. Survivors include a daughter, Danielle Marie Ducote and her daughter, Lily Grace Speight, Pensacola, Fla.; son, Dallas Avery Ducote, Bluffton, S.C.; father, L. Dale Ducote, Baton Rouge; sister, Susan Marie Ducote, Lake Placid, Fla.; brothers, Lynnwood D. Ducote Jr. and Albert J. Ducote, Baton Rouge, and Randall C. Ducote, Geismar; a niece, Nicole E. Ducote, Geismar; and nephews, Adam M. Ducote, Marietta, Ga., Devin T. Ducote and A. Tanner Ducote, all of Baton Rouge, and Remi M. Ducote, Geismar. Also survived by his former spouses, Valerie Rossi, Pensacola, and Natasha Giles Ducote, Bluffton. Predeceased by his mother, Gloria Marie "Teeny" Lartigue Ducote; stillborn sister, Ann Francis Ducote; and sister, Dorothy Louise Ducote Faulkner. Steve will be remembered as a kind and loving person and for his donation of a kidney to his beloved sister, Dorothy, in 1987. Visitation at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Drive, on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lee Allen.
