Mildred May Allen Goudeau

BIG CANE - Services for Mildred May Allen Goudeau will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Big Cane Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Brossette officiating. Burial will be in Big Cane Baptist Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers, Bunkie.

Goudeau, 95, of Bunkie died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, in Bunkie General Hospital.

She was a retired postmaster of Goudeau Post Office. She was also a teacher at Goudeau School,a member of Big Cane Baptist Church for more than 70 years, WMU, and Sunday school secretary for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mary Allen; daughter, Jacyntha Riche Charrier; three brothers, James Ogden, Ivy Sylvester and Francis Adolph Allen; and three sisters, Eva Welch, Edna Allen and Willie Robie A. Aragon.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra G. Riche of Bunkie and Gail Hirschmann of Baton Rouge; one son, Ray Allen Goudeau of Angleton, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Terry Riche, Johnny Riche, Elliot Riche Jr., Kent Riche, Steve Riche, Chris Riche, Mark Goudeau, Heath Pastor, Mike Johnson. L.B. Mayhall Jr. and Phillip Goudeau.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the church.

Memorials may be made to Big Cane Baptist Church, or Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, Monroe, La.
