Ms. Brown a resident of Alexandria formerly of Ville Platte passed away Friday May 29, 2009 at her residence. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she will be sadly missed by her husband Alton Roy Armand of Alexandria; son Kevin Viga of Whiteville; daughters Angela Viga Burke of Alexandria; Lisa Marie Ortego of Ville Platte; brothers Allen Brown and wife Betty of Lacombe; Leonard "Chunk" Brown of Whiteville; sisters Laura Hensel of Alexandria; Zetta Lafleur of Alexandria; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and is preceded in death by her parents Jean Baptiste and Edna Fontenot Brown; brother Lawrence Brown; and sister Lorena Brown Andrus.

Visitation will be held Saturday May 30, 2009 from 2PM-9PM with a rosary being recited at 6PM, and will resume again Sunday from 8AM until the time of services .
