Lillie Egloff Brown

Funeral services for Lillie Daisy Egloff Brown will be at 12 noon on Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Bunkie with Rev. Jim Lofton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Mrs. Brown, age 91, of Bunkie passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at her daughter's residence in Evergreen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wesley Brown; her parents, Herbert and Bertha Egloff; four sisters, Edna McGinty, Kitty Hoots, Bonnie Mulvihill and Eva Mae Egloff and three brothers, Herbert, Causey and Anthony Egloff.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunkie. She was a charter member of Bunkie Belles Chapter of America Business Women's Association and held several offices in that organization. She was also a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star - Eureka Chapter # 65. She retired Senior Administrator Secretary of CLECO after twenty years in Bunkie.

She is survived by her four children; daughters, Patsy Brown Dunbar of Pasadena, Texas and Deborah Brown Lemoine and her husband, Dr. John E. Lemoine of Evergreen and sons, Harold Wayne Brown of Covington, and Terry Wade Brown and his wife, Norma Kirk Brown of Seabrook, Texas; along with ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren; with numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her two sisters, Wanda Mulvihill of Natchez, Mississippi and Doris Stringer of Phoenix City, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great- grandsons, Rusty Ray, Tim Brownlee, Kyle Marchive, Keith Brown, Samuel Ray, Jacob Brownlee and Kirk Brown.

Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Bunkie from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday, January 14, 2008. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home - P.O. Box 4196 - Monroe, LA 71211.
