Hypolite Guy Riché Jr. M.D.
A retired physician and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at his home. He was 94 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of LSU and Tulane Medical School and was widely involved in the medical and Greater Baton Rouge community. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Lou Caradine Riché; two sons, H. Guy Riché III and Robert R. Riché and their wives, Mimi Barnum Riché and Bobbie Arceneaux Riché; three grandchildren, Andrew B. Riché and wife Mary, Barbin R. Lewis and husband Matt, and Taylor L. Riché and wife Carrie; three step-granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
