Dorothy Thevenot

Services for Dorothy Thevenot, age 77, of Cottonport will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church with Fr. Anthony Dhamaraj "Fr. Raj" and Fr. Rick Gremillion officiating. Entombment will be in St. Mary Mausoleum #2 in Cottonport under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport.

Mrs. Thevenot passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 in her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart A. Thevenot; father, Sampson Dubroc Sr.; mother, Rose Smith Dubroc; brother, Sampson Dubroc Jr.; and grandson, Jamie Dupuis.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Bordelon, Kay Lewis, Carlene Gauthier, Ann T. Lacombe, Gail T. Andress and Nicole Thevenot, all of Cottonport; her sons, Michael L. Thevenot of Cottonport, and Anthony Thevenot of Baton Rouge; sisters, Theresa Sue Bordelon of Marksville, and Rosalie Dubroc of Metairie; seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery Thevenot, Chris Thevenot, Stephen Thevenot, Jason Lacombe, Nicholas Descant, Clay Descant, Josh Thevenot, and crossbearer Lea Rose Bordelon.

Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m., and will re-open Saturday at 8 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Avoyelles and St. Mary's Assumption Church.
