Services for Betty Ann Coco of Cottonport will
be at 1 p.m. on October 10, 2008 at St. Marys
Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport with
Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will be
in St. Mary Assumption #1 in Cottonport under
the direction of Escude Funeral Home of
Cottonport.
Betty Ann Coco, 76, died in her family residence in Cottonport on October 8, 2008 with her family at her side.
She graduated from SLI (Southwestern Louisiana Institute) in 1955 in elementary education. She was a teacher in the public school system for 21 years. She enjoyed retirement for 4 years but resumed her love for teaching at St. Marys Catholic School where she finished her teaching career in 2001. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing and reading, however she always had time for and lived for her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Adras Ducote, mother, Aline Riche Ducote, brother, Donald Ducote and sister, Mae Rose Fernandez.
Survivors include her husband, Louis K. (Bucky) Coco, Sr. of Cottonport; two sons, Louis K. Coco, Jr. and Dwayne B. Coco both of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Cameron Coco, Joey Coco and Natalie Mayon; one great grandchild, Alexander Mayon.
Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on October 10, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. A Rosary will held at 12 noon Friday, October 10, 2008.

Pallbearers will be Jonothan Mayon, Joey Coco, Scotty Scott, Lars Ducote, Chris Ducote, Donnie Ducote. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Fernandez and Ian McClelland.
Altar servers will be Cameron Coco, Charlie Mayeaux. Organist will be Mary Ann Coco and Soloist Betty Mayeaux.
Family requests donations be made to St. Marys Assumption Catholic School.
