In response to questions about the outstanding athletes who were residents of the Evergreen area, attempts have been made to identify some of them who should be included. As I reviewed my files, I realized that Lionel Aldridge, former Green Bay Packer great, who played in the first Super Bowl, should certainly be included in the group of outstanding athletes.

Lillian Justice Cox (click here - http://www.evergreenla.org/News/Lillian%20Cox.htm ) had previously been identified as one of those special people of accomplishment in the athletic arena. 

It is noteworthy that Lionel acheived his fame after leaving Evergreen, whereas Mrs. Cox came with her extensive credentials already documented.

Life truly is a "candle blowing in the wind" as attested by the Lionel Aldridge story.
