Harold J. Rabalais   

(April 13, 1924 - March 31, 2016)

Harold J. Rabalais passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Nola LaChute Rabalais by second marriage and of the late Theresa Rabalais by first marriage. Father of Robert J. Rabalais (Alisson), Sandra Hawkins (Harry "Boo"), and Patricia Rabalais Jeanfreau (Lucien "Lou"). Son of the late Arnold and Bertha Rabalais. Brother of Ryan Rabalais, Vera Descant, and the late Margery Attales, Leslie Rabalais, Jewell English and Allen Rabalais. Grandfather of Shawn, Brigett, Ashley, Julian, Danielle, Brian, Lance, and Mindi. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. He was an engineer with Southern Pacific Railroad and a WWII Navy Veteran having served on the U.S.S. Frazier in the South Pacific. He was a lifelong resident of Algiers , LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11am.
