Jan Rawls James
(July 20, 1945 - January 14, 2016)
 

A Memorial Reception will be held at the Church of the Little Flower Catholic Church Reception Hall in Evergreen, LA from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Arrangements are under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Jan Rawls James entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2016 . Jan was born on July 20, 1945 in Port St. Joe , Florida , the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. B.E. Rawls. Jan graduated from Louisiana State University with a Masters Degree in English and later returned to school and received a degree in accounting.

Jan had a genuine passion and love for her animals, gardening and cooking.  Jan's most sincere loves were her beloved husband, son and grandson. Jan was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Rawls, father, Bryant Rawls and brother, Bryant Rawls Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 48 years, Crawford James Sr., son Crawford James Jr., grandson Justin James, daughter in law Stephani James, sister in law Sandra James and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jan will be forever loved and missed by all who knew and loved her.
