Dorothy Austin Goudeau

Funeral services for Dorothy Austin Goudeau will be Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Melancon Funeral Home in Bunkie with Rev. Joe Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayou Rouge Cemetery in Evergreen under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. and will resume on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 from 8 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Goudeau, age 85, of Evergreen passed away on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at Opelousas General Hospital . She was a former telephone operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon "Corky" Goudeau, her first husband, Joseph Nolan Arnold, Sr. and her step-son, Gordon Goudeau, III .

She is suvived by two daughters, Donis Armand and husband, Thad, of Goudeau and Susan Gauthier and husband, Dick, of Gonzales; three sons, Joe Arnold and wife, Lois, of Houma, Gary Arnold and wife, Kay, of Scott and Coy Arnold of Baton Rouge; a brother, James Richard Austin of Sterlington, LA; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
