Memorial services for Alfred "Bonoxie" Joseph Turner will be Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie. Burial will be at a later date under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie. Mr. Turner, age 77, of Evergreen, passed away on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 in CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He was retired from CLECO, having been employed for over twenty-five years. He was also a US Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan "Pistol" Turner. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Faye Riche Turner of Evergreen; one brother, James Turner and wife, Jerry, of Evergreen; two sisters, Joyce Milligan and husband, Earlin, of Bunkie and Dianne Luneau of Marksville. Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 from 9 am until service time. Pelican Footnote: Alfred was a 1951 graduate of Evergreen High School and Faye graduated from EHS in 1952.
