Funeral services for Betty Jean Scallan of Plaucheville will take place at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church of Plaucheville on Friday, June 15, 2012 , beginning at 10:00am with Father Louis Scalar officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escudé Funeral Home of Moreauville on Thursday, June 14, 2012 , from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and will resume Friday morning at 8:00am at the church. Burial services will commence at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Mausoleum. Betty Scallan, age 69, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 . She is survived by her husband, Kermit Scallan of Plaucheville; children, Eric Scallan & wife Roxanne of Plaucheville, Lisa Lemoine & husband Eddie of Plaucheville, Hope Clark & husband Dale of Deville; brother, Elton Dufour of Evergreen; sister, Mary Thibodeaux of Hessmer; grandchildren, Holliann Delapasse of Erwinville, Lindiann Scallan, Gavin Lemoine, both of Plaucheville, Luke Clark & Chase Clark, both of Deville; great-grandchild, Cameron Delapasse; step-grandchildren, Tonya Blake of Baton Rouge, Lacey Lemoine of Simmesport, Meagan Lemoine of Fifth Ward; step-great-grandchild, Cayden Davison, Taylor Blake, Brycen Blake, & Jaylyn Barron. Pallbearers will include: Jeremy Bordelon, Mark Bordelon, Norris Kimble, Mark Valois, Spencer Scallan, & Colby Scallan. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escudé Funeral Home.

Pelican Footnote:  Betty is the daughter of 'Bud' Dufour, Evergreen merchant and bus driver.  She attended EHS and BHS and can be found in the 1960 class listing.
