Funreal srvices for Ricky Anthony Lachney will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July n20, 2010 at Church of the Little Flower with Fr. Bartholomew Ibe officiating. Burial will be in Pythian Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie. Mr. Lachney, age 55, of Bunkie, passed away at Grace Home Inpatient Hospice in Alexandria, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maudry and Noah Lachney; two brothers, Ronnie Lachney and Gerald Lachney and one sister, Jeanelle DeSoto. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted companion of twenty-three years, Vickie Kelone; a daughter, Kristy Lachney of Bunkie; one son, Kenneth "Cooney" Lachney of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Phyllis Ponthier of Cottonport and Sandra Bolton and husband, R.J., of Dry Prong; four brothers, Dale and Michael Lachney of Baton Rouge, Gene Lachney and wife, Jo Ann, of Carencro and Johnny Lachney of Mississippi. Ricky fought a terminal illness and now has gone to be with Jesus forever. We will always love and miss him dearly. We also want to thank Cabrini Hospice and Grace Home for all the loving and special care that was given to Ricky during his time of need.
