Corinne Armstrong Juneau

(April 14, 1927 - December 27, 2013)

Funeral services for Corinne Armstrong Juneau will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Bayou Rouge Baptist Church in Evergreen with Pastor David Trimbur officiating. Burial will follow at the Juneau Family Cemetery in Evergreen under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Juneau, age 86, of Evergreen, passed away at the Bailey House Assisted Living on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Juneau was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Luther Juneau, whom she met and fell in love with on a blind date. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, three brothers, two half-sisters and two half-brothers. Mrs. Juneau enjoyed gardening, reading and many needlework crafts.

Mrs. Juneau is survived by her son, Glenn Juneau, and her loving daughter-in-law, Sandra Franchebois Juneau, of Opelousas; nine half-sisters, one half-brother; grandchildren, Krista Juneau of Cankton, LA; Darren Juneau and wife, Amy Guillory Juneau of Carencro; great-grandchildren, Brittney Guillory, Brandon Guillory, Connor Juneau and Gavin Juneau.

Pallbearers will be Darren Juneau, Brandon Guillory, Euney Fontenot, Donald Sanchez, Dennis Sanchez and Ron Juneau in addition to honorary pallbearers Connor Juneau, Gavin Juneau and Brittney Guillory.

Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of the Bailey House and All Saints Hospice for the love and attention they gave to Mrs. Juneau as well as her doctors for their diligent care.
