Funeral services for Joseph Washington Carmello of Evergreen will take place at the St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, beginning at 10:00am with Fr. Jamie Medina Cruz officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Monday, October 15, 2012 , lasting from 4:00pm to Tuesday morning at 10:00am . Burial service will commence at the St. Mary Mausoleum #2. Joseph Carmello, age 63, passed away at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria on Friday, October 12, 2012 . He is preceded in death by his father, Cisto Carmello; brother, Phillip Carmello; and sister, Frances Robin. He is survived by his mother, Maggie Madrigal Carmello of Evergreen; brothers, Peter Carmello of Evergreen, Tebo Carmello of Gonzales, Augustine Carmello of Amelia, John Carmello of Evergreen, valentine Carmello of Bunkie, Albert Carmello of Evergreen, Harold Carmello of Panama City, FL, Paul Carmello of Cottonport; sisters, Lucille Mose of Mansura, Leona McLaughlin of Plain Dealing, LA, Cora Moreau of Evergreen, Cathy Perry of Evergreen. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
