John “Barland” Bordelon
A retired loan
officer and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011,
at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He was 79, a native of Evergreen
and veteran of the
U.S. Air Force. Visiting at Jefferson Baptist Church on Tuesday, Feb.
8, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11
a.m. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Hazel C.
Bordelon; and four sisters. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Jefferson Baptist Church or a charity of choice. Please visit the online
