Jerry B. Spencer

(September 1, 1931 - October 27, 2011)

Services for Jerry B. Spencer will be held at a later date conducted by Reverend Jimmy Koonce. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Mr. Spencer, 80, of Alexandria, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

Mr. Spencer was born in Evergreen, Louisiana on September 1, 1931. He was a member of the IBEW Electrical Union, and served in the U. S. Marine Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Daisy Thayer Spencer, Sr.; brothers, William Spencer, Jr., Louis Spencer; sisters, Ethel S. Falls, Eugenia S. Higgins, Lerona S. James.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Chapman Spencer; sons, Edward Spencer, Gregory Spencer & wife Shirley, Jerry Spencer, Jr. & wife Sandi, Thayer Spencer & wife Nancy; nieces like daughters, Margaret C. Cross & husband “Bubba”, Joyce C. DeLawyer, Jeanie C. Risinger & husband Vent; sister, Dorothy Spencer; grandchildren, Gregory Lee Spencer, Kasey C. Spencer, and Andrea J. Sepulvado and numerous nieces and nephews.
