Georgia O. McCormick

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at 9 a.m. Born Dec. 19, 1925, in Evergreen, she was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She was a graduate of LSU in education and a member of University Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lowell L. McCormick; son, Alvin McCormick and wife Annette, of Baton Rouge; daughter, Linda McCormick, of Denham Springs; sister, Mary V. Webb; brother, T. "Borue" O'Brien; grandchildren, Lauren Gray and husband Brian, of Walker, Joshua Stevens and wife Lauren, and Corey Cudd, all of Denham Springs, and Sara McCormick, of Baton Rouge; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Gray, Briley Gray and Aubrey Stevens. Special thanks to Lily and St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care. Visitation at University Baptist Church on Friday, Feb. 11, from 11 a.m. until the service at noon. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UBC or the LSU 4-H Foundation. Arrangements are being handled by Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St.
