Yannie.jpgA Mass of Christian Burial for Elliot "Yannie" James Riche will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Chruch of the Little Flower in Evergreen with Fr. Bartholomew Ibe officiating. Entombment will be in the Church of the Little Flower Mausoleum under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Mr. Riche, age 75, of Riche Road -Bunkie, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Bunkie General Hospital. He had been employed by Alexandria Seed and Gold Kist and was a retired farmer. He loved to farm, raise sweet corn and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Grace Riche and his brother, J. H. Riche, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Sandra Goudeau Riche of Bunkie; four sons, Terry Riche and wife, Patty, of Bunkie, John Allen Riche and wife, Tamara, of Cottonport, Elliot James Riche, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Madisonville and Scott Riche of Bunkie; two daughters, Rae Ellen Riche of Bunkie and Angie R. Pastor and husband, Heath, of Moreauville; two sisters, Shirley Riche of Pineville and Barbara Roberts and husband, Charles, of Bunkie; twelve grandchildren, Rodney Riche, Amelia Riche, Jackson Riche, Will Riche, Natalie Riche, Lucas Riche, Kyle Riche, Noah Riche, Adam RIche, Ben Michel, Kannor Pastor and Emma Rae Pastor and two great grandchildren, Ellie Riche and Landen Loughman.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Riche, Will Riche, Lucas Riche, Kyle Riche, Ben Michel and Heath Pastor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Lemoine, Craig Riche, Earl Carmouche, James Roy and grandsons.

Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and at Church of the Little Flower on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 9 a.m. until service time. Please share sympathies, memories and condolences at www.melanconfunerals.com
