Clarence L. Clopton

Clarence L. Clopton,79, beloved husband of Noamie R. Clopton and a long-time resident of Evergreen, died on Tuesday evening, March 29, 2011 at the Hessmer Nursing Home. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Oma Fisher Clopton; his brothers,Havard, Carroll and Vance Clopton; his sister, Fay Clopton Rabalais; his daughter, Sharon Clopton Montalbano and his grandson, Brandon Clopton. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Noamie Rabalais Clopton; two sons, Terry Clopton of Folsom and Joel Clopton of Hessmer; three daughters, Sheila Clopton Richard of Baton Rouge, Dawn Clopton of Evergreen and Karla Clopton-Jones of LaPlace;two sisters, Gloria Clopton-Kihnemann of Metairie and Violet Clopton Mitchell of Bayou Chicot. He was blessed with fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren with three on the way!! Clarence worked for Western Electric/AT&T as an installer for 38 years until he retired in 1991 as a senior installer. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
