Alva Guillory
"Bunny" born June 10, 1916 passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at
his home in Evergreen from a long illness. He was 93.
He was a US Army veteran of
World War II, a recipient of two Purple Hearts, and was an ex-POW of the
European Campaign.
A loving father, husband,
proud grandfather and great-grandfather, he was also an avid hunter and
fisherman.
He is survived by his wife,
Mary Bessie Guillory; a daughter Judy Ann Neal and husband Allen; two sons,
Gary A. Guillory and wife Janell, Brent Guillory and wife Gayla; brother, J.V.
Guillory; seven grand-children; eleven great-grand-children.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of The Little Flower in Evergreen
on Friday, February 19, 2010, beginning at 11 am, with Rev. Bartholemew Ibe
officiating.
Visitations will take place
at the Escude' Funeral Home of Cottonport prior to the funeral, beginning at 8
am, with a rosary being recited at 9 am. Burial services will commence at the
Church of The Little Flower Cemetery.
In lieu of Flowers,
memorials may be sent to the American Disabled Veterans Association.
